Last Year Journey in Poland & Ukraine

Witnessing the suffering of  Ukrainian people, we decided to support with our mobile circus team a safe space of playful encounter and creative empowerment of children and young people fleeing from the war . What brought us together is our common belief in the power of the circus and the wish to support Ukrainian families, therefore we set up a temporary circus space at the Ukrainian border in Poland. Since April 2022 The Mobile Circus for Peace has provided changing teams of artists & animators, performing shows and workshops.

OUR CIRCUS FOR PEACE

In times of war, children are among the most vulnerable members of society. The trauma and stress of living in a war zone can have a profound impact on their mental and emotional well-being. In such a situation, our Circus has provided much-needed relief and respite from the harsh realities of war.

During our four weeks tour of western Ukraine, we have provided a temporary escape from the harsh realities, offering a brief moment of joy and happiness. The magical tents served as a space where children did forget their troubles, if only for a little while, and experienced a sense of normalcy. We finally saw hundreds of Ukrainian children laugh, be amazed, and be transported into a world of wonder.
